6 years ago i built an extension on to my house to bring it to a modest 3200sq.ft with 22 radiators.The same year i spent €6000 on home heating oil.I consulted several plumbers re solid fuel heating and was told i would have to rip up all of the floors in the house to install.Then i came across Agathos Stoves and after a quick site survey was told there would be no need to take up floors.They recommended an insert stove with a back boiler that was capable of heating the entire house.2 workers arrived on a Wednesday and left on Friday afternoon after installing the stove,building a false wall,they even installed my TV for me.I had contract cleaners organised for saturday but actually cancelled them there was that little mess.Last year i spent €1500 on logs and heated the entire house,indeed the house stays warmer for longer as unlike oil when you turn it off the radiators stay warm for hours.I have recommended Agathos to 4 of my friends who have all used their services and none of us ever had a complaint.I can’t endorse this company enough and will keep on recommending them into the future.

Everyone is looking for a more efficient and less expensive way to heat their home. Agathos technicians came to survey our sitting room and convinced us to put in an insert stove which would have greater heat output and less pollutants etc. I understood the technological advantages of putting it in but truthfully I was more concerned with the aesthetics! Agathos designed a truly beautiful surround . It is architecturally elegant, has the WOW factor and because it is fitted into the chimney breast, I even gained some floor space. What more could a girl ask for !?

We recently had an Agathos Insert Stove installed and are delighted with it. We priced similar stoves from different companies but Agathos was by far the best value and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The fitters were always there when they said they would be and did a really neat job. We also opted for a ducted heating chamber which brings the heat up to the first floor, which is a great system.
We really couldn’t be any happier with our stove.

Hi Agathos, just a short note to let you know that the non boiler stove you installed a couple of months ago is really working out fantastically. The heat output from just using a couple of logs and a bit of turf is unbelievable. You were right when you said; “When you’re going out or going to bed at night, just throw a few extra logs into the stove and it will keep the house warm all through the night “. Any friends and neighbours that come to our home admire it. Not only is it a great heat source, it looks fantastic too. The great advantage of the insert stove is that it stops all draughts coming down the chimney. I hope you sell loads.
